OUR CHAIR
The Reykjavik Global Forum was created from a conviction shaped over many years: progress strengthens when women leaders are connected, visible, and supported. Throughout my work, I met exceptional women leading with purpose, yet often without the global networks needed to amplify their impact. Establishing the Reykjavik Global Forum became my way to serve my commitment to women's leadership and to women leaders - by creating a convening where leaders from every sector can meet as peers, contribute to a conversation and draw strength from each other and a community of actions.
Iceland´s long-standing commitment to gender equality offered both the inspiration and the natural home for the Reykjavik Global Forum. By gathering in Reykjavik, we welcome the world into a society that understands the value of equal participation, honest dialogue and the importance of power together that has always been the theme of the Forum.
From the outset, the Reykjavik Global Forum was designed as a community rather than a traditional conference, a space where collaboration is central and where conversation leads to tangible actions. It honours the generations who paved the way and strengthens the foundation for those who will follow.
This is why we founded the Reykjavik Global Forum: to unite women leaders, to serve their shared mission by fostering meaningful connection, and to help transform shared insight into real progress for the future.
