ABOUT THE EVENT
This 4-hour Action Lab brings together the Gen2Gen Cohort for a dynamic, intergenerational exchange. Through a blend of facilitated discussions, interactive sessions, and a shared lunch, participants will explore leadership insights across generations, challenge perspectives, and co-create ideas for the future. 10.00 - 10.15 Welcome & Gen2Gen overview
Setting the stage: The programme, the participants, and the spirit of the day.
10.15 - 10.45 Gen2Gen Leaders Panel Discussion
Four leaders participating in the initiative reflect on what they’ve gained through the exchange and how we can build on this for the future.
10.45 - 11.30 Mini Masterclasses
Option A - Hosted by: Tilting Futures
From Managing to Multiplying: A Masterclass for Emerging Leaders. What separates managers from multipliers? In this hands-on masterclass, Tilting Futures CEO Erin Lewellen, a seasoned executive, talent strategist, and leadership coach, guides emerging leaders through the mindset shifts and practical tools that transform how you build teams, set expectations, hold people accountable, and develop others even when resources are tight. Drawing on the wisdom of sports coaching and the realities of leading intergenerational and global teams, this session is built for people who are new to managing, or who want to keep building these muscles.
Option B - Hosted by: Running Start
Elect Her: Turn ideas into action by building connections and working across differences. Running Start’s Elect Her is a nonpartisan training focused on early-stage leadership development. We set young women on the path to civic engagement and community impact. At the training you will learn how to have meaningful conversations about issues you care about, how to build coalitions, and how to deliver an impactful message. You will walk away confident, inspired and ready to lead.
Option C - Hosted by: Girl Rising
Unexpected Stories, Unexpected Allies: A Workshop on Using Storytelling to Drive Impact. In this master class, co-chair of Girl Rising, Tara Abrahams, will lead participants in an interactive session on how to use storytelling and narrative to create change on a range of issues…from gender equality to climate change. We’ll use a recent media project as a “case study” to discuss how a powerful story can bring new and sometimes surprising stakeholders to your issue.
11.30 - 12.45 Love, Light & Leadership: A Rise & Thrive Luncheon
Led by Dr. Alfiee - Powered by The AAKOMA Project
This uplifting luncheon brings together leaders, advocates, and changemakers to celebrate women’s and girls’mental wellbeing, courageous leadership, and global potential. We will explore how love, light, science, and culturally responsive care can move mental health from the margins to the center of wellbeing.
12.45 - 13.45 Action Lab: Whiteboard Workshop
Whiteboard Workshop: Idea Rave
Grab a marker and get moving! Four stations, each with a bold question drawn from the Forum's programme tracks, set the stage for a fast-paced, hands-on session and a warm-up for the conversations ahead. You'll share your boldest ideas, then team up to turn the best of them into concrete actions the cohort can take on together, and vote on the ones that will shape the cohort's work in the months ahead. Come ready to think out loud and leave with a shared plan you helped create.
