ABOUT THE EVENT

Reykjavik Global, Anderson Foundation and The MATTIE Fund supported by the AAKOMA Project have partnered up to co-host an event during the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, in New York to launch the Generation to Generation Initiative.

The Reykjavík Global is a diverse, action-oriented community of 12,500+ trailblazing women leaders and their allies working to empower more women to attain & retain power.  The community convenes several times a year at various Global Events, Virtual Conversations and at the annual Flagship event, the Reykjavik Global Forum in Iceland.

Reykjavik Global focuses on impact through several initiatives such as the Reykjavik Index for Leadership and the Action Items. Generation to Generation is the latest initiative launched, focusing on intergenerational leadership exchange.

Generation to Generation - Leadership Exchange is designed to bring established and emerging women leaders into a shared space of learning, reflections, and empowerment. Rather than following a traditional model in which experience flows in one direction, from senior to younger participants, the initiative champions a reciprocal approach.

The event aims to formally launch the initiative and communicate key messages to targeted communities, generating awareness, interest, and momentum for participation. It will serve as a platform to encourage engagement and stimulate applications. Following the event, participants will receive a follow-up email summarizing the main discussion points and providing direct access to the Initiative’s website and application portal.
