ABOUT THE EVENT
Perception & Policy: What the Latest Data Reveals About Women in Leadership.
Reykjavik Global, Gates Foundation, World Bank and OECD Development Centre have partnered up to co-host an event during the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70), under the heading: The Power of Data: Women Shaping Leadership. The conversation will focus on key research findings on women’s leadership, drawing in particular on the Reykjavik Index for Leadership, World Bank’s Women, Business and the Law report, and OECD Development Centre’s Social Institutions and Gender Index (SIGI).
The event will launch the latest Reykjavik Index for Leadership and underscore the critical role of data, evidence, and analysis in advancing women’s leadership and equal access to decision-making. All co-hosting partners have produced and published significant research examining the state of leadership through a gender lens. Building on these findings, the event will facilitate a discussion on practical opportunities to promote more balanced leadership and advance solutions that deliver inclusive progress for all.
The event aims to showcase the Reykjavik Index as a valuable evidence-based tool in an era where data-driven insights are increasingly critical. It will place particular emphasis on the Index findings from Kenya and Nigeria, alongside insights from the SIGI report produced by the OECD and the World Bank’s Women, Business and the Law report.
Join us as we explore the power of data and examine whether our latest research findings are generating the answers needed to drive meaningful progress.
